This shoot with Shelby has got to go down as one of my favourites of all time. It was a couple of weeks ago and I have been busting to blog these pics, but needed to wait until after last night's formal to unveil just how gorgeous Shelby looked for the dance.

It seemed that everything came together perfectly! Not only did we have a beautiful young lady to photograph, but we used Old St Mary's Convent as our backdrop, and Paul worked his magic with the lighting!
Absolute favourite picture of the shoot:

Shelby is such a sweet girl, unpretentious and the camera just loves her!

I LOVE shooting at Old St Mary's Convent! There are so many places that are just stunning!

Thanks Shelby for being such a fantastic model, I hope you had a fantastic night last night! And Davina, I can't wait to show you guys all the rest!
All is still intact as far as my belly goes, sigh. I've stopped taking on any more portrait jobs for the time being (Paul is still busy with his commercial and architectural stuff though). But I'll be back in action once this baby is born and I can move about a little more easily.
As far as wedding bookings go, we're pretty well full up for this coming summer - with one space left in early December. Can't wait to take some more wedding photos! They start up again in September.
Today I had the opportunity to photograph Suzette and her boys Harrison and Declan. When I asked Suzette what she'd like to achieve today, she said she'd love to capture the special bond they have together, both the boys with her and the two of them together. And right from the get go, you could see that this family really do love eachother!

Although he was wearing shoes, I'm pretty sure Harrison is taller than Mum now!

The weather was pretty cold - I was amazed when I arrived at Rarangi that there was ice all over the road and the SAND! Although it looked really pretty, it was definitely not swimming weather!

Definitely brothers, these two!

There's something I really love about this shot, it's probably just the arty side of me coming out!

I love this series of shots - what a gorgeous looking family!

Cute!

Then off to town we went! Gotta have a feet shot.

How's this for a seriously gorgeous Mum?!

The boys did so well, it's not easy to be followed around by a strange waddling woman with a camera! And with Harrison not feeling 100%, I think they certainly deserved their promised pizza for dinner!

It was really great to meet you all today! Will catch up soon!
It's only about 3 weeks till baby is due, and I feel like I'm the size of a Mac Truck, and getting bigger! The time is certainly flying by. I've finally packed my hospital bag, and have nearly got the baby's room all ready, so it's just about showtime! Looking forward to meeting this new little person and being able to see my feet again. Will keep y'all posted!
What a fun time I had this afternoon with Fiona and Josh! Freshly engaged and very much in love, these guys were an absolute pleasure to photograph.
Josh is an electrician, so it was totally appropriate to start our shoot here:

I think I might just keep these guys close at hand for when I need new suggestions for cool photo locations!

These two look so cute when they forget about me and just look at eachother, that's when the real magic happens!

Next we headed off to a cute little barn, and who can resist taking advantage of the gorgeous low winter sun?

Being as generously bellied as I am right now (5 weeks till baby!!), you can imagine the scene with me lying on my back for this low angle, and then trying to get back up again! Thankfully I don't have any weddings to shoot in this state, I'm fairly sure I waddle.

Josh is such a nice guy, I realised this even before Fiona explained that that was the reason she first fell for him. He carried my heavy camera bag everywhere we went, and never hesitated to run back to the car for us to fetch things.

I can't wait to see Fiona as a bride, I just know she's going to be even more stunning.

And this is my favourite shot of the day. How gorgeous is that light?!

One kind passerby who saw me taking photos asked if he could help out, and let me get in the photo as well. Ahhhh... nope, I don't think that having me in this picture would add anything at all - although I'm sure we could have made it quite amusing!

It really was a great shoot, and it was fantastic to get to know Josh and Fiona that bit more. I can't WAIT for your wedding guys, it's gonna be awesome! (and I promise I won't be waddling by then!)
