Yesterday Petra and Linton got married.  But this wasn't just any wedding, it was intimate, simple and completely beautiful.  It was held at the lighthouse at Cape Campbell.

Petra looked absolutely stunning, I knew she would!

This was the entire wedding, including bridal party and guests.  Thankfully the weather was perfect, not too hot or cold - however it was rather windy!

After the ceremony we decided to take a walk up to the lighthouse.  I called out to Petra to let her veil go, it would look great.  And it did look great, for about 3 seconds, and then it took off!  Thankfully Linton saved the day and retrieved it for her.

It was insanely windy at the lighthouse, so we really didn't stay up there for very long!

There is this really great little shack, and it's windswept and leaning just like everything else along the beach!

Back at the farm, we spent a little time hanging out with their horses.  Note the ribbons around their necks!

And a few shots up on the hill where they're building a house.  What an amazing spot it is!

Thanks so much for allowing us to capture your beautiful day Petra and Linton!

We've finally had the wedding I have been waiting for all year, my sister's boy Daniel married the lovely and ever-sweet Bailey.  It was our honour to capture the moment of their day for them.  It was such a beautiful day, I can already tell it's going to be difficult to keep the number of images here down!

The wedding was held at the beautiful Monaco Resort in Stoke.  I had never been there before as we don't usually photograph in Nelson. We were busily looking for the place when we passed a beauitful looking little villiage - "Wow, that would be a cool spot for photos!" I exclaimed as we drove right past it....  So I was rather thrilled to find later that it was in fact the very place we were searching for.  Score!

Looking out the window, Bailey could see Daniel waiting for her.

Dad's proud look at his girl about to be married.

Mum and sister, perhaps a little nervous at this stage!

Last minute lipstick touchup....

A moment with Dad....

And we're off!

Andrew, Daniel's Dad, took the ceremony.

This has got to be one of my favourite shots of the day - Mum's approval.

Then we headed down to Tahuna beach, and while the boys threw a rugby ball around - the girls and I had some fun.

The one thing Bailey wanted on her wedding day was to walk down the beach barefooted.  Done!

Back at Monaco, and an opportunity for a couple more photos.

I love this shot of Andy and Sas.

I'm adding this shot in here because, for once, I can legitimately put myself in a family photo!  Woohoo!  (on the right)

First dance.  Cute!

And then it was time for some serious 'getting down'!

There are so many more great shots, but this gives y'all a pretty good idea of how things went!  It was a fantastic day to be part of!

It was my absolute pleasure to photograph Clare and Brent for their engagment.  First of all we went to Rarangi Beach, which turned out to be just lovely!

How cute are they together?

I popped them in this cave and told them to 'work it', and look at them go.  Naturals!

I love this peeking shot, so gorgeous.

After a play at the beach we headed back to Clare's childhood home.  You can see the house she grew up in just behind them there.

And this would be the funniest and cutest looking cat face!  Clearly she just loves having her photo taken.  I can't for the life of me remember her name though.... Tibbles?  Fluffy?  Margaret?  Nope, it's gone. Sorry!

Congratulations guys, I just know you're going to have a stunning wedding in Rarotonga!!  I wish I could have made it there to shoot it for you!  Regardless, you'll both look great and have the most romantic time :)

So, it's about time that I, Paul, make my second post on this blog.   Normally I leave this part up to Jess (other than writing the software to run the blog).

I have been all over Marlborough shooting some fantastic places for Bayleys during the last few weeks.  With a couple of helicopter flights thrown in for good measure my head is still spinning from all the amazing sights I've had the pleasure of photographing.  Here are a small number of pics - the best helicopter ones will have to wait for another day as I still have a bit of editing to do, but they will be worth the wait!

With two visits to Portage in two weeks, I had the thrill of catching the water when it was this beautiful turquoise colour - can't believe how much the weather changes the colour of the water out there!  Here is a panoramic shot looking back from the wharf (about 5 photos stitched together).

Just behind portage is a new development - beautiful views over the bay, but I really loved the setting in the bush:

After what seemed like a long winter it is so good to have some green back in the vineyards!  Most of these shots are taken just after the sun has gone down when there is that beautiful glow on the landscape.

Here's one quick view of our flight down the sounds - the weather was a bit hazy, but the views were still spectacular.

I like this old shed which was on the property we were hovering over - not too far above the water for this one:

Well I had better go and do some more editing...  A couple more shots as I leave.  One interior from a beautiful farm that I photographed out in the middle of nowhere.  And the parting shot is from a sunset I caught the end of a few weeks back.

So, until next time... have a fantastic Christmas and happy New Year!

Liz and Shaun's wedding was absolutely beautiful!  It was held at Ngakuta Bay in the Queen Charlotte Sounds, and although the weather threatened to rain in the morning, it was a perfect day by the afternoon.

Liz is an amazing organiser, and she had every little detail planned out.

This was definitely one of those 'cute kid' weddings.  Seemed like everywhere you turned there was another cute little person :)

see?!

Liz was piped in by a young bagpiper, he did a really awesome job!

Liz and Shaun were so thrilled to be married, and they didn't stop smiling all day!

And they were so natural in front of the camera, I barely had to direct them at all.

They had found these really cool boatsheds earlier, great find guys!

What an awesome wedding to be part of, thanks for inviting us in!  Have a fantastic time away on your honeymoon!

Horray - the photos are online!

It has been a mammoth effort, but we now have over 700 images of your darlings for you to look at. We've divided the production up into sections, which will hopefully make it easier for you to find the pictures you're looking for. Each section has a mixture of photos from three performances (Friday's practice, and the two on Saturday), in a somewhat logical order.

After putting my hand up and saying that we'll photograph the production, Paul had to go ahead and write some shopping cart software for the site (thanks babe, you rock!) So the shopping part of the gallery is all brand-spanking-new, and I'm certain will do the job nicely. He's still got to write the help section for it, but in the meantime, if you have any hassles - don't hesitate to drop us an email.

You can order your prints and pay either via Internet Banking, or Paypal. Once we've received your order and payment, we will get the photos printed and let you know when they are ready to pick up from TopShots Photolab (across from the post office) or we will post them out to you if you select that option in the shopping cart.

Thanks again to Sharon Rennie for teaching our darlings all year, she's ever patient! My girls are already looking forward to next year!

Things have been rather busy here lately - I've got a ton of stuff that I need to blog, but that will have to wait till another day!

For something a little different - yesterday Paul and I photographed our girls ballet "Shall We Dance", and OH what an undertaking that was!  I've just about finished going through and getting everything ready, and then we'll have them on a gallery online for all you friends and family.

We're planning on getting them up by tomorrow (Monday 7th), and then y'all can go through them and choose any that you'd like. You can either pick them up from Top Shots in town, or get them posted to you.

So check back here tomorrow!

Here are a couple of my girls, I love watching them perform - so cute :)
