So things have been pretty quiet on the blogging front lately. Not because we're sitting around twiddling our thumbs (do people even twiddle thumbs anymore? I don't think I've seen anyone do that in years....) but more that Paul has been soooo busy shooting and editing, and there just isn't enough hours in the day. The Bayleys book is due out soon, so there's always a last minute rush on real estate. Hopefully things will settle down again soon, and we can catch up with stuff. It's great to be busy though. Mother's day photos still to be done.
Paul grabbed this today at a house shoot. Totally awesome. There's rumour about him going up for more aerial shoots over the weekend, I'm sooo jealous!!

I had the most delicious Mother's Day yesterday. We took the kids to the park, had a nice play in the Autumn leaves and got some fantastic pictures. Now, if you know me, I despise having my photo taken, it makes me break out into a sweat and pull this funny weirdo face. I'm built to be behind the camera, not in front! Having said that though, we got some really nice pictures of me with my short people. Probably the best present of the day!! (chocolate being a very close second, you can never go wrong with chocolate)
I'll upload some of the pics when Paul can stop on the editing computer long enough for me to get it done :)
We've had this job on the backburner for a little while, and are just processing the photos now. As much as I love Autumn images, it's such a wonderful thing to be looking at some warmer weather. A fleeting glimpse of the summer just gone....
It was awesome that we had the opportunity to work with the Spearings, Grandma had come over from England and so it was a good time to get photos done of the whole family together while they were on holiday here in the Marlborough Sounds.

Joan is such a lovely, patient lady. We dragged her from pillar to post, and she always had a smile on her face. Nothing seemed to faze her! I want to be just like her when I grow up.

So I popped out to the park the other day, with our friends who had extended family over, and wanted some family pics done. The colours at the park right now are gloooorious, I'm busting to get back there and do some more shooting before all the colours are gone!

Linda is my daughter's fantastic piano teacher, I can't belive how well she teaches Kimberly - and with such patience! Alex is an extrodinary graphic designer - responsible for my logo no less! (I think he must have a good computer) These guys are so so talented!

There are oodles of great photos from our time out there! Looking forward to working on them all!
Paul's turn to go up in the helicopter for some Marlborough shots. Oh it's such a hard life :) Nothing like being at 700 feet taking pictures with the door off! Thanks to Ben at Windhawk Helicopters for the fantastic flight and to Glen at Bayleys for the fantastic opportunity. Make sure you check out Ben's website and go for a flight yourself sometime!

So we have this friendly rivalry going on, Paul and I. In some ways it's fun, and keep us on our toes, but in another way it keeps us up late at night editing and reediting a photo, just to be sure that our version is the best! We'll come back from a job, download and compare shots and see who got the best shot of the day. (right now we're about 50/50)
He's happy to let me have the 'name', and he'll just keep on plugging away for days working on a wedding, while I carry on with raising our beautiful brood, answering emails and chatting away on the phone. It's a nice little arrangement I reckon.... but he better not get any bright ideas about starting up 'Paul Jones Photography', or I'm in big, big trouble!
Here we go, we've just spent the evening picking out some of our favourite photos from this wedding.

Check out these gorgeous little girls, total cuteness :)

People expect so much of you when you're this cute, the pressure can be just too much!

The lads - I don't think they stopped laughing all day!

What a cheeky lot :)

So now back to the romantic stuff!

Have I mentioned that I totally love this pictures? I just adore it, so here it is again :)
