Helen & Mark – sunset and balloons!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had during this engagement session last night.  I don’t know how I’m lucky enough to have such cute and fun couples book me to take their photos, but they keep turning up and Mark and Helen were certainly no exception!

First of all we went to Pollard Park – always a nice safe place to start.  The weather had been dodgy all day, and I didn’t really know what to expect.

Aren’t they cute?!  As always, they didn’t think they were photogenic.  Yeah, right!

As the evening wore on I thought it would be a fantastic idea to go up the hill at the Japanese Gardens.

The bling.

I had a helium balloon kit in the office for a while, and have been waiting for a good opportunity to use it.  I thought these guys were just right!  Turns out that Helen gets a bit nervous about balloons (I have a morbid fear of balls, throw one at me and I’ll squeal and jump away – and that’s not an invitation to do it by the way… anyway I digress) but she wanted to try it anyway.  I’m SO glad she did!  How cool is this!

The sunset was just glorious!

I just have to say, Helen baked me brownies.  Not just any brownies. AMAZING brownies.  She’s caught onto my love for chocolate from facebook, and knew exactly how to get me in just the right frame of mind 🙂

On the way home I saw the middle of town was lit up all pretty, so we jumped out of the car for some more shots.  Here I’m right down in the middle of the road, right on the intersection.  Goes to show what a busy town we live in!

Legs shot.  Got to do the arrow.  Too cool.

A little bit of window shopping.

Christmas time!  (by the way, where did the year go?!)

Well, that was great fun guys.  I’m so looking forward to the wedding!!
